Born on May 3, 1936, in Ceylon, Nethsingha contributed significantly to the music community during his tenure at the cathedral. He was also the father of Andrew Nethsingha, who is the current organist and master of the choristers at Westminster Abbey. Lucian Nethsingha passed away on February 12, 2021.
