Ludwig Zepner (1931–2010) was a prominent German porcelain artist, designer, and inventor. He trained at the Meissen porcelain factory and attended the Hermsdorf vocational school and the Berlin-Weißensee Art School. Known for his innovative techniques, Zepner created the first ceramic pipes for a porcelain organ. He also co-founded the 'Künstlerische Entwicklung' collective, producing notable works including the 'Jahrhundert-Service' and public ceramic wall art. Zepner received several awards, including the DDR Art Prize and the Design Prize of the DDR. He was buried in Meißen and is remembered through the Ludwig-Zepner-Weg.
