Luis Víctor Chitarroni was an Argentine writer, literary critic, and editor born in Buenos Aires on December 15, 1958. He was one of the most prominent figures in Argentine literature, known for publishing the first books of authors such as Daniel Guebel, María Negroni, and Sergio Bizzio. Chitarroni founded the independent publishing label La Bestia Equilátera and edited numerous notable writers including César Aira and Ricardo Piglia. He was a member of the Academia Argentina de Letras from 2021 until his death on May 17, 2023.
