He began his career at EFE Agency in 1972, then joined Radio Nacional de España in 1975 where he hosted various programs, including Spain at 8. He transitioned to television in 1986, directing Telediario and working in multiple international correspondences until 2008. Besides journalism, he was a notable athlete, being a Junior Basketball Champion with Real Madrid. He has received several awards for his journalistic contributions, including the National Journalism Prize in 1983.
