Luis Hernández Cotter is a retired Spanish volleyball player born on December 10, 1948, in Casablanca, Morocco. He played for clubs including Atlético de Madrid, Real Madrid, Turavia, and Recuerdo, primarily as a setter, though blocking was a weak point. He is the brother of fellow volleyball player Rafael Hernández Cotter. Additionally, he played for the Denver Comets, becoming the second professional volleyball athlete in Spain, following Miguel Ocón, who was instrumental in bringing him to the IVA. In 1984, he transitioned into coaching.
