Luis Martínez de Irujo y Artázcoz was a Spanish noble born on November 17, 1919, in Madrid. He was the son of the Dukes of Sotomayor and Marquesses of Casa Irujo. He was notably the first husband of Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, the XVIII Duchess of Alba, thereby becoming the Duke Consort of Alba. In his professional life, he was both an industrial engineer and a lawyer. His life spanned until September 6, 1972, when he passed away in Houston.
