Luis Sigismund Himley (1906-1984) was an English surveyor noted for serving as the 10th Surveyor-General of the Federated Malay States from 1956 to 1960. Born in Cuba, he attended St. John's College, Cambridge, and began his career in 1929 with the Survey Department in the Federated Malay States. He married in 1934 and had three children. Prior to WWII, he served as a captain in the Straits Settlements Volunteer Force. He later worked on the cadastral survey of Mauritius. Himley passed away in Devon, England, and was buried in Manaton.
