She made history as the first woman to achieve the rank of General in the National Police of Colombia. An attorney with specializations in Administrative Law, Criminal Law, and Forensic Sciences, she joined the police force in 1980. Throughout her career, she occupied several key positions, including Director of the National Police's Rotary Fund and General Deputy Director, a role she has held since August 2013, after her promotion to General in 2009.
