Lydia Schoonbaert (1930-2019) was a Flemish curator, lecturer, and writer. She studied at the University of Ghent, where she obtained her doctorate in Art History focusing on the work of Albert Servaes. Later, she became the chief curator at KSMKA in Antwerp. Schoonbaert published numerous monographs primarily about contemporary artists such as James Ensor and Albert Servaes. Additionally, she wrote poetry under the pseudonym Jozefa van Houtland.
