Lyman Wesley Bostock Sr. was an American baseball player who played first base for several Negro league teams from 1938 to 1954. He was left-handed at bat and right-handed in throwing. Bostock played for teams including the Brooklyn Royal Giants and Birmingham Black Barons. He served in the US Army during World War II and participated in the 1941 East-West All-Star Game. Despite his aspirations for Major League Baseball, he never played in the league. He passed away in 2005 in his hometown of Birmingham.
