Lynda Heaven was an Australian politician and the first female Labor Party member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly, serving from 1962 to 1964. Born as Lynda Hocking on 12 April 1902 in Daylesford, Victoria, she notably became the first woman to serve on a jury in Tasmania in 1959. Heaven entered the Assembly after a recount and later challenged the election result of another candidate. Although she ran again in the 1964 elections, she was not re-elected. In 1968, she was honored with an MBE for her community services.
