Lyudmila Dobrinova, known as Mama Dobi among her students, was a notable Bulgarian musical figure. In 1982, she established youth choirs at NГДЕК, performing arranged folk songs and Slavic-Bulgarian church hymns. Dobrinova taught music theory and history at NГДЕК for 26 years and founded the chamber vocal group 'Diptych.' She worked with students to collect non-canonical church hymns from Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Albanian settlements. She was a member of the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers and passed away in Sofia.
