M. K. Sanu, born on 27 October 1926, is a prominent Indian writer and social activist in the Malayalam language. He has written over thirty-six books and is known for his work as a critic, biographer, journalist, orator, and human rights advocate. A founding member of Mithram, a school for the mentally handicapped, he has also served on the award selection committee for the Vayalar Ramavarma Literary Award until his resignation in September 2019. In 2011, he was honored with the Padmaprabha Literary Award.
