M. V. Raghavan (1933-2014) was a prominent Communist leader and former Minister in Kerala, India. He served as the General Secretary of the Communist Marxist Party and had a significant role in Kerala's political landscape by advocating alliances with the Kerala Congress and Indian Union Muslim League. Expelled from CPI(M), he formed the CMP and contributed to the UDF. Raghavan was instrumental in establishing the first co-operative medical college in India, along with a snake venom removal centre and a snake park, enhancing tourism in his region.
