M. V. Vasu was a politician and member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from the Parali constituency. He was elected as a representative of the CPI to the Second Kerala Legislative Assembly. Vasu won the seat in a by-election on February 9, 1961, defeating A. S. Divakaran of the PSP by 12,217 votes. Initially a government employee, he joined the Communist Party after resigning from his post in 1953 and participated in the Kissan Jatha in 1955, which aimed to pass the Malabar Tenancy Act.
