Ma Anand Yashu was an Indian-Spanish flautist born on October 9, 1956. She gained prominence in the early 1980s, performing a duo with Toti Soler in Barcelona, where she spent many years of her life. In 2001, her album Shanti Shanti achieved commercial success, topping the New Age Chart in the United States. Yashu eventually returned to Goa in 2003, where she continued to inspire others through her music until she passed away from cancer on December 3, 2007.
