Magda Berndsen-Jansen is a Dutch politician and former police chief born on May 4, 1950, in Leiden. She worked as a medical secretary and office manager before joining the Democrats 66 party in 1980. Berndsen served on the municipal council of Boskoop and was later appointed mayor of Obdam and Beverwijk. She held various roles in the police force, becoming a police chief in multiple regions. Elected to the Dutch Parliament in 2010, she focused on security and justice and chaired the Interior Committee. Since 2018, she has served as the interim mayor of Súdwest-Fryslân.
