Magnús Þór Gunnarsson is an Icelandic basketball player born on 7 February 1981. He had a distinguished career spanning twenty seasons in the Úrvalsdeild karla, achieving five Icelandic championships and three Icelandic basketball cups. He also represented the Icelandic national team for 77 games between 2001 and 2013, serving as captain at times. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, becoming an assistant coach for Keflavík in 2018 and winning the Icelandic Women's Super Cup the same year.
