Mahmoud al-Rimawy is a Jordanian-Palestinian short story writer, novelist, and journalist born on October 21, 1948, in Beit Rima. He was educated in Jericho, Jerusalem, and Beirut, where he studied Arabic for two years. He spent twenty years writing and providing political commentary for the Al-Rai newspaper in Jordan. He also served as editor-in-chief for Al-Sijil newspaper. In 2010, he launched the cultural website "Qab Qawsayn," the first of its kind in Jordan. His novel 'Min Yu’nis al-Sayyida' was longlisted for the 2010 Arabic Booker Prize.
