Mahmoud El Gendy was an Egyptian actor and singer born on February 24, 1945, in Abu Matamir, Beheira Governorate. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema and began his artistic career in the 1970s, appearing in numerous films, television series, and theater productions. Renowned for his beautiful voice, he sang in many of his performances and released a music album titled 'Poor Artist' in 1990. El Gendy served in the Air Force during the October War in 1973. He passed away on April 11, 2019, due to a heart attack.
