Mahmoud El Khatib, born on October 30, 1954, is a former Egyptian football player who played for Al Ahly SC and the Egyptian national team. He is the current president of Al Ahly. Starting his career in Iskandria and making a name for himself at a young age, he became a legendary figure in Egyptian football, scoring 108 league goals over 17 years. El Khatib led Al Ahly to numerous titles, including the CAF Champions League, and achieved individual accolades, such as African Player of the Year in 1983.
