Mahmoud Reza Khavari is a former Iranian banker and businessman, born on May 26, 1952. He was involved in a major embezzlement scandal in Iran in 2011 and is currently a fugitive wanted by Iranian authorities. Khavari became a Canadian citizen in 2005. He held significant positions in the banking sector, serving as chairman of Bank Melli Iran until September 2011 and as chairman of the board of directors of Bank Sepah from December 2003 to March 2005. He has been wanted by Interpol since October 2016.
