Mahmud Shah Qureshi was a prominent Bangladeshi educator who served as the director-general of Bangla Academy. He received several awards from the French government for his remarkable contributions to language and literature, as well as the State Ekushey Padak for his significant contributions to education. Proficient in French, English, and Bengali, he authored numerous stories, translations, research articles, and edited books. He was also the former dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and a professor in the Bengali department at Gono University.
