She later transitioned to acting, adopting the name Maki Tachibana. She gained popularity for her roles in numerous Toei films throughout the 1970s. Known for her striking looks, she insured her legs for 100 million yen. As of 2023, she runs a bar called 'Snack Orizuru' in Tokyo.
