He specialized in cancer treatment but gained notoriety for his controversial views, which sharply criticized standard cancer treatments such as surgery and chemotherapy. Condemning these methods, he claimed they were ineffective and harmful. Despite having treated over 30,000 patients, his theories have faced significant backlash in the medical community. He founded his own organization, the Kondō Cancer Research Institute, where he remained a prominent but controversial figure advocating for alternative approaches to cancer care.
