Makoto Oniki is a Japanese politician born on October 16, 1972. He is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party and has been elected to the House of Representatives for four terms. Oniki holds the position of Deputy Minister of Defense and Deputy Minister of the Cabinet Office. He has also served as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Security Committee, as well as a Parliamentary Secretary for the Environment. Prior to his national-level roles, he was a member of the Fukuoka Prefectural Assembly for three terms.
