Mario Oscar Ferreyra, known as Malevo Ferreyra, was an Argentine police chief involved in State terrorism during the last Argentine Dictatorship. He repressed left-wing guerrilla groups in Tucumán province. After democracy returned, he became the chief of the Tucumán Provincial Police, participating in the murder of guerrillas and innocents suspected of dissent. He faced prosecution and was discharged from the police force. In 2008, he shot himself live on national TV while facing imminent arrest.
