Malgorzata Piotrowska is a Polish-Norwegian illustrator and author, born on January 18, 1957, in Warsaw, Poland. She has lived in Norway since 1987. Piotrowska is educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and has illustrated numerous picture books with her own texts as well as others'. Her artwork is characterized by naïve figures, a free and vibrant watercolor technique, and influences from Eastern and Central European artistic traditions.
