Mamma Ebe, born Gigliola Ebe Giorgini on March 17, 1933, was an Italian mystic and founder of the religious congregation Pia Unione di Gesù Misericordioso. She was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2008 for fraud and illegal medical practice. In June 2010, she was arrested again for criminal conspiracy related to illegal medical practices and aggravated fraud. Her final conviction of six years imprisonment was upheld by the Court of Cassation on March 16, 2016.
