Manouchehr Mottaki is an Iranian politician born in 1953, who served as Iran's Foreign Minister under President Ahmadinejad from 2005 to 2010. He holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Bangalore University, India, and a master's degree in international relations from Tehran University. As a significant political figure, he managed the presidential campaign for conservative candidate Ali Larijani in 2005 and ran for president himself in 2013 but withdrew prior to the election. He has been an elected member of the Iranian parliament representing Tehran since 2024.
