Manuel António Pires was a Portuguese Roman Catholic bishop who served in Angola. Born on March 27, 1915, he was ordained a priest on April 8, 1939, and became the coadjutor bishop of the Diocese of Silva Porton on March 7, 1955. He was consecrated as a bishop on June 29, 1955, and later appointed as the bishop of Silva Porton on September 23, 1958. The diocese was renamed Kwito-Bié on May 16, 1979. Pires resigned on June 15, 1979, and participated in the Second Vatican Council.
