His career includes serving in various artillery units and participating as an operations analyst for KFOR in Kosovo. He commanded troops in Iraq during the Battle of Najaf in 2004. Rising through ranks, he became a brigadier general in 2016 and was appointed Inspector General of the Spanish Army in January 2022.
