Manuel dos Santos Cabanas, also known as Master Manuel Cabanas, was a Portuguese woodcut master, self-taught artist, and republican. Born on February 11, 1902, in Vila Nova de Cacela, he was a founding member of the Socialist Party of Portugal. Cabanas was renowned for his contributions to the art of xilogravura (wood engraving) and left a significant impact on Portuguese art and politics before passing away on May 25, 1995, in Faro.
