Manuel Chueca Pazos is a cartographic engineer from Valencia, born on April 25, 1935, in Arenas de San Pedro. He founded the València Cartographic Institute (ICV) and the School of Topographic Technical Engineers at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). Moreover, he promoted the degree of higher engineer in geodesy and cartography. In 2006, he was admitted to the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture.
