An influential figure in Spanish economics, he introduced Keynesian ideas to Spain and was involved in establishing national accounting systems. After the Spanish Civil War, he became a professor at the University of Valencia and held various academic positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Political and Economic Sciences at the University of Madrid. He died on September 29, 1960.
