Manuel do Carmo Meca was born in Nazaré, Portugal, on February 28, 1909. He was the first president of São Paulo Futebol Clube after its re-establishment in 1935. His leadership was marked by the establishment of a headquarters and legal framework for the club's functioning. Although he resigned in 1936, he remained involved and later served as secretary of the Deliberative Council and as director-general of Amateur Sports, helping the club gain prominence in various sports until his death on January 27, 1961.
