Manuel Fernández López, known as 'Lito', was a Spanish trade unionist born on June 8, 1947, in Mieres. He served as the president of the Metal, Construction, and Allied Federation of the General Union of Workers (MCA-UGT) and the Anastasio de Gracia Foundation (FITEL). A key figure in labor rights, he contested for the leadership of UGT against Cándido Méndez in 1995. Lito held various leadership positions, including secretary general of UGT's State Siderometalurgical Federation and vice presidency roles in multiple labor foundations. He passed away on June 27, 2014, in Oviedo.
