He was one of the last 29 guerrillas, led by José Mata, who were evacuated on October 23, 1948, from the port of Lluanco in Asturias to France. His actions were part of the broader context of resistance against oppression during and after the Spanish Civil War, contributing to the history of guerrilla warfare in Spain.
