Manuel Hernández Sanjuán was a Spanish filmmaker, photographer, and painter born in Madrid on May 2, 1915. He founded Hermic Films in 1940, producing over 200 short films, primarily documentaries in Spanish Guinea and the Spanish Protectorate in Morocco. He worked as a producer, cinematographer, and director. After serving as a second operator for the film 'El inquilino' (1957), he was a cinematographer for several feature films until 1980. In his later years, he focused on painting and exhibited his artworks in numerous galleries.
