Mar Targarona i Borràs is a Catalan director, screenwriter, producer, and actress born in Barcelona in 1953. She studied drama in Barcelona and Los Angeles, beginning her career in theater before transitioning to film and television. Targarona co-founded the production company Rodar y Rodar in 1990. She is best known for producing acclaimed films such as The Orphanage and other series that depict historical contexts in Barcelona. In addition to her production work, she has held the position of director at the Fundació Taller de Guionistes.
