Marat Nourijanyan was an Armenian sculptor and painter born on January 7, 1941, in Kapan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He studied at various art institutions, including the Panos Terlemezyan Art College and Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre. A member of the USSR Artists' Union, he became the founding director of the new geological museum in Kapan in 1968. Known for his famous work 'The Key of Kajaran,' he also contributed to various architectural designs and monuments, which encapsulated the spirit of the Armenian people.
