Marc Aryan, born Henry Markarian on September 14, 1926, in Valence, France, was a French and Belgian singer of Armenian descent. He gained popularity in France, Belgium, and throughout the Middle East, as well as in Canada, Russia, Eastern Europe, and Turkey, where he was known for his Turkish songs, including 'Istanbul.' Aryan also toured Armenia, performing songs in Armenian, notably 'Yerevan.' He passed away on September 30, 1985, in Hainaut, Belgium.
