Marc Parés Franzi is a Catalan politician and geographer born on February 24, 1979, in Barcelona. He resides in Vic and has served as a professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Since April 2019, he has been a member of the XII legislature of the Catalan Parliament for the parliamentary group Catalunya en Comú-Podem. Parés has over 70 notable publications and has held various research positions internationally. He was an environmental advisor for the Figaró-Montmany city council and is currently part of the national executive of Catalunya en Comú.
