Marc Savoy is an American Cajun accordion maker and musician, born on October 1, 1940, in Eunice, Louisiana. He was introduced to Cajun music by his grandfather and became an accordionist for the Balfa Brothers in the early 1960s. In 1966, he founded the Savoy Music Center, where he built around 1,000 accordions and hosted concerts. Savoy is married to guitarist Ann Allen and co-founded the Savoy-Doucet Cajun Band. He has released several albums and has been recognized as a National Heritage Fellow by the National Endowment for the Arts in 1992.
