Marcel Bebey Eyidi was a Cameroonian doctor, politician, and nationalist leader born on November 21, 1914, in Douala. He served as a member of parliament and was the founder and director of the newspaper L'Opinion. Eyidi was also the secretary of the Cameroon Labour Party. He played a significant role in Cameroon's political landscape until his death on June 29, 1966, in the same city where he was born.
