Marcel Dalarun (1922 - 2017) was a poet who wrote in the Cotentin dialect, a variant of the Norman languages. He published approximately sixty-five poems in a collection titled 'À Men Leisi' through the Harmattan editions. Dalarun also composed songs that were well-received by the local singers of Magène. As the president of several associations, he aimed to promote and sustain the Norman language, which continues to be spoken in parts of Cotentin.
