Marcel Demonceau was a Belgian resistance member during World War II. He was born in Liège on December 10, 1914, and became active in the resistance against the Nazi occupation. Following a failed assassination attempt on Léon Degrelle in May 1943, he was captured by Robert Verbelen and handed over to the Germans. Demonceau was imprisoned at Fort Breendonk. After a failed escape attempt, he was executed on February 22, 1944.
