Marcel Golding is a prominent South African businessman born on June 29, 1960. He served as executive chairman of Hosken Consolidated Investments (HCI) from 1997 to 2014 and was the CEO of e.TV during the same period. Initially active as a trade unionist, he became the assistant general secretary of the National Union of Mineworkers in the 1980s. Golding also represented the African National Congress in the National Assembly post-apartheid until 1997, when he transitioned to managing HCI. He left HCI and e.TV in 2014 after a fall-out with a longtime associate.
