He was the leader of the French Forces of the Interior in Alsace during World War II. Kibler was a key figure in the founding of the Seventh Column of Alsace (Réseau Martial) and the Mobile Groups of Alsace (GMA), which played a significant role in the resistance movement against occupying forces.
