Marcel Ress is a German chef born on May 30, 1988, in Mellrichstadt, Bavaria. He is known for winning the third edition of Top Chef España. Starting his culinary journey at 15, he trained in various Central European restaurants and moved to Mallorca in 2009 to work at Simply Fosh. He became the head chef there in 2012, leading to a Michelin star in 2014. He competed on Top Chef in 2015 and announced plans to open his own restaurant before ultimately winning the competition, defeating Alejandro Platero in the finals.
